25 pounds down! Oh yea!

Happy Friday!

I've been waiting for this for three freaking weeks now. Not sure what was going on with my body during those 3 weeks, but I've finally got a loss, and a pretty big one at that.

Last Weigh in (12/30): 131.8

This Week: 129.2

Results: -2.6 lbs

Overall Results: -25.8 lbs

I am soo so soooo close to my goal weight, 4.2 lbs away to be exact. I mentioned in an earlier blog that I wanted to reach 125 pounds by my birthday (March 27th, I expect presents) so that I can get my new tattoo! I know I can do it!!!

It's also been awhile since I posted a comparison picture.....What a difference 6 months can make, right? :o)

It made me feel pretty good when I ordered my wedding dress last month and she said I was measuring at a Size 4! She asked me what size jeans I wear and was taken aback when I told her I was a 10 because I was measuring at a much smaller dress size. I almost fell over laughing at the consultant's reaction when Christy was like "it's because of her big a**" LOL!

I have been running 3x a week on the treadmill outside of boot camp and it's going pretty well! My first time running an entire mile was 12:20, followed by 11:53, 11:27 and 11:23. I'm trying to increase the speed each time I do it.

I have to give mad props to RockMyRun.com. They have free mixes you can download to your phone, itunes, etc. that are perfect for working out and running. I get bored easily, so the mixes keep me going when I'm running. I used to use them when I had Jillian Michael's on mute because I just couldn't stand her voice anymore and half the time the music had me in such a good mood that I was literally bouncing off the walls after my 20 minute workout lol! I definitely suggest you check it out!

On a negative note, my stomach problems are making an appearance again. I made a follow up appointment with my GI doctor last Friday and still no diagnosis. She did give me lab orders for a Celiac Disease test, which I hope to God isn't the problem. She prescribed me a daily acid reducer that I started taking this week. I had a really bad case of acid reflux last night because of the filet I ate for dinner. This is why I don't eat red meat or like going to places like Fogo de Chao. I burp it up for a week! lol

WMZQ announced the Megaticket for this year and I'm not that impressed. It's Sugarland, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, and Brad Paisley. AKA the same bands that come to town every year. Don't get me wrong, they all put on a good show but the drive out to Jiffy Lube Live just isn't worth it to see the same artists every year. I think Jason and I are definitely going to go Sugarland and Miranda Lambert, even though we saw them last year too (lol). I just love them both!

On a side note, when I participated in the SOPA protest online, I lost my Barbie header and now it looks so boring. I have to find some time to do it again and save the dang thing on my email or thumb drive!

Well, I think that's about all from me for right now. Not much planned for the weekend except having a few friends over on Saturday. Happy weekend y'all!

Frustrated Friday!

I'm sorry I have been slacking with my Fat Loss Friday posts. I haven't had a real loss or gain in 3 weeks and it is driving me nuts. I had a .4 lb loss last Saturday morning, but it wasn't Friday so I didn't blog about it because it went right back all this week. I haven't been slacking with my eating habits or exercise. Jason and I even joined Planet Fitness ($10/mo no commitment deal) so that we could get some workouts in outside of boot camp to switch up our game. I'm not discouraged, just frustrated! I am really hoping to get down to my goal weight by my birthday at the end of March. ~7 lbs shouldn't be that hard in 2.5 months right! I think I can, I think I can! :)

A big milestone to me (probably small and stupid to some lol) but I ran an entire mile on the treadmill at the gym last night without stopping! I know what times I need to reach in order to pass my PT test, which this would not have passed but I did it in 12:20 which is a better pace than the 5K I ran in October. I suprised myself because as I have said 836352985 times, I HATE running. The first 3 minutes were the hardest and then I just kept going. Robin, Maria and myself (and some others) have talked about doing the coed 5K at the Iron Girl event on April 29th. I signed up back in November, so I just have to wait and see who actually signs up with me! I'm training myself on the treadmill, which is hard because it's alot more difficult than running outside and having my C25K app running. I get nervous on the treadmill because I'm already uncoordinated as it is, so I don't want to face plant because you can't just stop to walk, you have to press the buttons to slow down the speed LOL. I am going to up my running a little more every week and eventually get to the point that I can run 3.5 miles at a time without stopping.

Anyway, we have had a lot of fun events the past couple weeks! Two weeks ago was my best friend Brittany's birthday, so Jason and I drove out to DC to Sweet Spot and had a BLAST. I kid you not. I was afraid that because it was the "club scene" that I would feel very out of place but Jason and I both had a surprisingly good time. The only part that sucked is that for the first time in god knows HOW long, I demanded McDonald's on the way home. Jason tried to convince me how bad of an idea it was, but I just HAD to have it. I got a 10 piece nug and a cheeseburger and GOOD LORD, I had a freaking knot in my stomach the entire day on Saturday. I NEVER eat fast food anymore so that over-processed junk really hit me hard. I didn't have much of an appetite the next day.
This picture of Brittany and Jason makes me laugh. I love how Jason can literally get along with ANY of my friends :)
Last weekend was fun too! It was Kristelle and her friend Aaron's birthday. We had dinner at Old Bowie Town Grill and then she rented a party bus and we all went to Mex in Power Plant Live in Baltimore. I bought an outfit from ghetto Rainbow (you know since they put one in the shopping center by my house, ugh) for under $30 and for the first time since.. well.. I can't remember... I wore leggings, boots and a tight shirt and I felt HOT! I was finally confident to go out in a tight fitting outfit and not feel fat, or feel like my little buddha belly was sticking out. Also a great feeling when everyone around you notices and comments on how great you look! One thing I LOVE about this weight loss journey is that I was blessed with a killer butt, so it won't go anywhere! Sucks that my jean sizes won't go down a whole lot, but I'll take that over a flat tush :)

Sorry for the crappy camera phone quality, but here is my outfit! :)

We got a group picture at the end of the night, minus a few people like Michelle, Jason and Shannon lol
My boot camp trainer Sandra took my measurements earlier this week and everything went down AGAIN! Minus my calf and chest which won't really go down much anyway. My BMI and Body Fat percentage are both steadily going down and as of November I had finally reached the "healthy" range for both categories. So, I may not be losing pounds, but I am losing inches and LOVING my body! It's a great feeling. Until next week! xoxox

Not a Fat Loss (or gain!) Friday {Plus Sneak Peak Pictures!}

Hey kids!

So this week came with a no loss/no gain which isn't bad. Somehow I knew I was setting myself up last week because usually with a big loss comes a mini-plateau (remember me mentioning being small and not having big losses?) Well, something I found odd was I was weighing the exact same weight in the morning and at night all week. I've never had that happen before actually. I usually weigh 2-3 pounds less in the mornings (which is apparently normal) and when I tried to google it, I really couldn't find a whole lot on the subject. I looked back at MFP (great for reports) and looked at my exercise and the only thing I could come up with was last week I only worked out hard one day (Wednesday Boot Camp) and most of my calories burned were walking compared to this week where I worked hard 5 out of 7 days doing circuit training. I also had a lot of fluctuation with my Sodium intake which can really affect water weight. I've heard that really mixing up your diet can force your metabolism to work harder, which also might have had something to do with my big loss.

I hope everyone's NYE was fun! I went to Jenn and Tim's (love their new place) for an "Animal Hat" theme and almost everyone there had one! It was cute. I had Christy stitch me a pink piggy hat with little feed buckets (you know, ironic because I'm not a piggy!).
We had our engagement pictures done that morning as well! We only ended up going one place, but suprisingly we had a lot to work with. Alvarado sent me a couple "Sneak Peak" pictures and I love them! We got custom jerseys made (me in Steelers and Jason in Redskins) with our wedding date and his last name! You can't see that in the teaser pictures below, but I'm excited for Alvarado to finish them! :)

We are doing another shoot in the spring with our trainer from Boot Camp! She suprised us and offered to do an engagement session with us as her present to us. We are going to do some pictures with her on the water since our venue is waterfront. Can't wait for those! :)

Hope you all enjoyed our pictures! We are so freakin' excited for the wedding!!!

RIP Exercise TV!

I happened to be strolling through my On Demand to do a quick workout on Sunday and I couldn't find Exercise TV anywhere. I figured Fios just didn't offer it On Demand and that I would have to DVR the workouts. Well, no! I found an article online after googling why it wasn't appearing in the On Demand menu anywhere.

"ExerciseTV, the popular on-demand channel for workout videos on many cable and satellite networks, announced today that the channel and accompanying website would be shutting down Dec. 31.

In an email to customers and posted late Friday on the home page of its website, the executive team of the network, created by Jake Steinfeld of Body by Jake fame, said that while the on-demand channel and website would be ceasing operations next month, some ExerciseTV workouts will still be available on iTunes and through Amazon.

Just last month, ExerciseTV announced new projects with trainers, including former Biggest Loser trainer Cara Castronuova and Fernanda Rocha, featured on Real Housewives of Orange County. It is unclear what will happen with those projects." -TheExaminer.com

UGH! I wish I had known this before the 31st. I had seen on the website right before Christmas that one of my favorite trainers had her Incredible Abs series on sale for $1. I asked Jason to get it for me and he said the website wasn't taking any of his cards. Luckily, if you remember your favorite trainers (mine being Cindy Whitmarsh and Chris Freytag) most of them still have their own websites where you can buy DVD's. I am still kind of bummed that I can't do them for free anymore!

RIP ExerciseTV!

Happy 2nd Birthday Savannah!

Today is my little munchkin's 2nd birthday! I know, I know. Really? Acknowledging my dog's birthday? Well, my dogs are like my children so if you all can do it, so can I! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANNAH!

Still acting my a dang puppy, but she is my baby girl. She makes me so happy when I walk in the door even with that annoying grunt! Not to mention how I cried hysterically when she split the pad of her paw open over the summer. She was just holding her paw up for me and I ran upstairs hyperventilating to Jason who had just fallen asleep after being on midnights. That's one moment I won't forget! Anyway here are some pictures of my Nannah! Enjoy :)

This makes me laugh. Poor Savannah in her cone. That thing had to be ducktaped together towards the end!

Lounging on the couch at Aunt Christy's after a long day with Rayne and the cone/bandage :)

This is Savannah and all her litter mates. Don't ask me which one is her! LOL

Savannah and her sissy Harley!
